Cher To Start Touring Again?

Superstar Cher is eager to wrap up her Las Vegas residency and head back out on the road - because she's not convinced the "old" audience members at her Sin City shows are true fans.

The Believe singer has been a regular fixture at the Caesars Palace hotel and casino's Colosseum theatre since signing a three-year deal with venue bosses in 2008. But she will bring the curtain down for good on the show spectacular after playing the last leg of concerts in January 2011.

Cher reveals the crowds at her Colosseum concerts are mostly made up of more mature music listeners and looking out into the crowd would often put a dampener on her evenings.

Speaking to U.S. talk show host David Letterman, she says:

"It's very different because the people are pretty old and I always think, at the beginning, 'Oh, what a pain in the a**'. But then I think, 'This might be the last concert they see.' ...The people come in (with) oxygen (tanks) sometimes. I'm not kidding! The tickets are very expensive so my (younger) fans have a hard time with it but it's taught me a lot.

"At the beginning I was like, 'I don't wanna do this, I'm young,' but (now) I'm thinking, 'I'm probably older than most of these people taking oxygen!'"

And Cher admits she secretly can't wait to finish the gigs so she can return to touring and performing for her more devoted, younger fans.

She adds:

"I've done it now for three years and I've really learned to enjoy myself, truthfully, because the people are older and this is a good thing, but I like playing arenas better because the people who come there (sic) really know my material.

"I have this one thing, which I'm sure is true, where the guy says to his wife or girlfriend, 'I'm gonna take you to see the naked old b**ch and then I'm gambling', and I'm sure that that's true!"
