Movie Releases - This week i recommend...

Happy end of week to you all!

Hope you've all had a good week? Apologies for not including my recommendations last week, but I didn't really feel passionate about last week's releases. However this week is a different matter, as one of this year's highly anticipated (and controversial) films is released.

The Da Vinci Code - Starring Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Sir Ian McKellen, Alfred Molina, Jürgen Prochnow, Paul Bettany, Jean Reno. Directed by Ron Howard.

Adapted from the hugely successful novel by Dan Brown, 'The Da Vinci Code' sets the scene with
the savage murder of Louvre curator Saunière. In comes Harvard symbology professor Robert Langdon (Hanks), who becomes embroiled in a plot involving a police cryptologist, an albino monk assassin and a 'jet-setting bishop', which could ultimately lead to the discovery of the Holy Grail.
The story also questions the foundations of an ancient religion, and leaves you to make up your own mind as to whether it's true or not.

Love mystery and intrigue? Have a good at watching this :)

And that ends my recommendations for the week. For those in Europe...don't forget that the Eurovision Song Contest is on this Saturday!

Catch you all again very soon!

Casino Royale (News: 10/05/06)

Apologies for not updating you nice readers out there..but here's a few items you might be interested in...

The Teaser trailer is out, and that can be viewed here!

As well as the teaser poster below:

And for all you car fans out there...the new Bond car has been unveiled. The Aston Martin DBS..

The specific details of this new DBS remain top secret, however Aston Martin Design Director, Marek Reichman, said:

“This car encapsulates a link between our elegant DB9 road car and the powerful DBR9 race car. It signals an evolutionary development of Aston Martin’s world renowned style and elegance.

“While hinting at our future design direction, the DBS also has very clear links with our heritage – it is instantly recognisable as an Aston Martin.”

Aston Martin Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ulrich Bez added:

“The DBS continues our proud and lengthy association with James Bond. The DBS is not of the understated elegance of a DB9, nor the youthful agility of the V8 Vantage. It is explosive power in a black tie and has its own unique character which will equal that of James Bond.”

Will the new Bond have as much sex appeal as his new car? We shall see...

An Update on ME!

Well...better late than never..but as I mentioned in my last post, here's an update as to what's been going on in my life so far..

I'll start off with my cool new flat mates...and my new room. It's a great place, situated in the East of London..near the multi-cultural area of Hackney. It's wonderful, and can get to work with no hassles at all. The flat mates...a gay couple..are absolutely great!! They both know how to party...and know how to have a quiet time at home.. It's very much like a shared environment...which I'm more used to, and didn't really get time to experience it at my last place. Local amenities...well...shops are great, and I'm only ever a 40 minute bus ride away from the centre of London.

My new place has had such a positive effect on me..and has given me confidence, and enthusiasm to take on a professional study course.

Since my all time career goal is to become a Publicist...I've started a Diploma course in Public Relations, and will then see where I go to from there. I'm not ruling out a degree, but ideally I'd like to kick start a career in PR...which I think is about time!

Work's going well...but the majority of my time has been taken up with studying really...

Had sometime to go to the theatre, and went to see Mission: Impossible III (which I hope you've all managed to see?)...and just been leading a quiet life..

Film wise..I've got some more Casino Royale gossip to report on...which is up next!

In the mean time....take care...and I'll try to keep you updated as regularly as possible.

:)

Movie Releases - This week i recommend..

Sorry that it's been ages since I last made an entry on here..

Will give you all a full update tomorrow...but it's that time again..and my one and only recommendation this week is...

Mission: Impossible III - Starring Tom Cruise, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ving Rhames, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Crudup, Michelle Monaghan, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Keri Russell, Maggie Q...and directed by LOST series helmer J.J. Abrams.

Tom Cruise is back as Secret Agent 'Ethan Hunt'...but he's now retired from active duty and recently engaged to Julia (Monaghan). However he soon returns back to his old tricks when an IMF agent he trained is captured. However...crossing paths with evil arms dealer Owen Davian (Hoffman) ends up bringing innocent Julia into the equation, who believed her fiancé worked in transport. How wrong she was...

Said to be the best movie out of the trilogy so far...I highly recommend you go and see this! That is...if you're into action and explosions..and enjoy watching Tom Cruise getting the crap kicked out of him :)
