Piers Morgan - The New LARRY KING?

Piers Morgan has been named as a potential replacement for Larry King. Now that the King one has announced his retirement, Morgan is the favourite to take over the time slot on CNN.

RadarOnline.com reports that Morgan is days away from finalizing a $10 million deal with the beleaguered news network to replace King, and a source reveals CNN has made it clear Morgan is the network's "first choice", adding:

"He is very, very close to agreeing to terms."

CNN quickly dismissed reports that a replacement has been finalised, earlier this week. Their statement at the time said:

"Not surprisingly, there is no shortage of people who would love to succeed Larry King if and when he moves on, but rumors that we are close to signing a deal for a Larry King replacement are untrue."

Other potential candidates include Katie Couric and American Idol host Ryan Seacrest.

In a statement on CNN, King gave his reasons for his departure, which involved family, but didn't mention his ever-declining ratings:

"I talked to the guys here at CNN and I told them I would like to end Larry King Live, the nightly show, this fall and CNN has graciously accepted, giving me more time for my wife and I to get to the kids' little league games."

His announcement also comes just a few weeks after his own personal life made headline news. In April, King and his wife, Shawn Southwick, filed for divorce after both accused the other of infidelity. A month later, the reconciled couple called off the divorce and moved back in together. Earlier this month, Southwick suffered a prescription pill overdose and has been recovering since.

Kylie Minogue Lands Movie Role!

Kylie Minogue has nabbed her first movie role in almost 10 years, as a tattoo-clad rock chick!

Who can forget when the Spinning Around hitmaker shot to fame in Aussie soap opera 'Neighbours' in the 1980s...before launching a hugely successful singing career.

The 1990s saw Minogue taking on roles in 'The Delinquents' and 'Street Fighter' (not one of her moments of glory), followed by a part as the Green Fairy in the 2001 movie 'Moulin Rouge!'.

Now she has landed a new movie role in 'Jack And Diane', opposite Juno Temple, Jena Malone and Elvis Presley's granddaughter Riley Keough, and she jetted to New York this week  to start filming her scenes.

Pictures below show Minogue dressed in ripped skinny jeans, a cropped vest and ankle boots - and with her neck, back and arms covered in fake (don't worry, they ARE fake) tattoos.

The movie, which follows the story of two teenage girls in New York City, is due for release in 2011.

P!NK Is Not The New TANK GIRL!

There have been a flurry of rumours recently surrounding P!NK's current negotiations to star in an upcoming remake of 'TANK GIRL' - but this has been dismissed by one of her reps.

The So What hitmaker's manager has told Gossipcop.com that he has "never heard anything about it".

P!NK's movie roles include her 'Charlie's Angels' cameo in 2003, and her 2007 movie 'Catacombs'.

The Recession Takes A BITE Out Of Gordon Ramsay.

Reknowned chef Gordon Ramsay has been forced to close one of his pubs in London as a result of falling profits.

The Hell's Kitchen star's business empire has suffered in the recent economic downturn and in 2009 he was advised to file for bankruptcy because of his spiralling money issues. He has managed to stave off the debt-collectors momentarily by pumping $8 million (around £5 million) of his own money into his businesses in a desperate bid to keep afloat, but has subsequently been hit with a series of bills and legal issues.

And now the TV star has shut down his London gastro pub The Devonshire (which he opened in 2007), as a result of the recession.

A spokesperson for Ramsay says:

"The Devonshire pub has not been meeting our expectations for a while and we have taken the decision to close it while we consider future plans."

Ramsay's company Gordon Ramsay Holdings reported a loss of $6.5 million (over £3 million) in 2009 alone.

Gaga Tells Of Ghoulish Nightmares.

Lady Gaga revealed that she has very bizarre recurring dream, in which a phantom urges her to slash her wrists to 'save her family'.

The Poker Face hitmaker, who has learned from her mother that the bizarre nightmare is perhaps a secret society ritual, admits she uses the imagery from this and other dreams in her songs and videos.

She tells Rolling Stone magazine:

"This phantom... takes me into a room , and there's a blonde girl with ropes tied to all four of her limbs and she's got my shoes on from the Grammys... and the ropes are pulling her a part.

"I never see her get pulled apart but I just watch her whimper, and then the phantom says to me, 'If you want me to stop hurting her and if you want your family to be OK, you will cut your wrist.' And I think he has his own, like, crazy wrist-cutting device.

"And he has this honey... and he wants me to pour the honey into the wound, and then put cream over it and a gauze. I looked up the dream, and I couldn't find anything about it anywhere. And my mother goes, 'Isn't that an Illuminati ritual?'"

And when Gaga gets really stuck over the meaning of a dream, she turns to her friend and spiritual advisor...Deepak Chopra.

The singer asked him to help her interpret a dream in which she's eating a human heart, and adds:

"I was freaking out... I was like, 'The devil's trying to take me, Deepak. I'm a good girl!' And Deepak goes, 'You are so very creative, my Gaga. You should make this into a video.' And I guess, in his own way, he spoke to me about learning to respect and honour my insanity. It's part of who I am."

That's good to know, Gaga!

The Adjustment Bureau *TRAILER*

Whilst watching the new Harry Potter trailer I noticed this other little gem - a trailer for a new movie starring Matt Damon and stunner Emily Blunt.

The plot follows something a tad similar to what 'The Matrix' offered...but without the snazzy ground-breaking effects. Damon plays an ambitious politician, David Norris, who meets a beautiful contemporary ballet dancer called Elise Sellas (played by Emily Blunt). But just as he realises his true feelings for this amazing woman a mysterious man appears to keep them apart. But this isn't just any man, as he soon reveals that he is part of an organisation - The Adjustment Bureau - who will do everything in their power to keep David and Elise from being together. But why, I hear you ask? It seems the whole purpose of the organisation is to protect the course of FATE, and David and Elise's union would end up destroying their own lives if they were allowed to continue without intervention.

From the pen of George Nolfi ('Ocean's Twelve', co-writer of 'The Bourne Ultimatum'), this movie is based on a short story by Phillip K. Dick (the brains behind 'Total Recall', 'Minority Report' and 'Blade Runner') - which means that this won't be your average adventure.

Have a peek at the official website, and the trailer below:

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows *NEW TRAILER!*

Joan Rivers' Advice To Gay Stars - "Stay In The Closet!"

Joan Rivers has caused controversy by urging gay stars not to reveal their true sexuality - because 'coming out' could damage their career. While this won't be anything new to the odd singer / actor, 'coming out' is a risk that most seem comfortable doing.

However, the outspoken comedienne is adamant showbusiness is still difficult for homosexual stars, and she's convinced they would be better off keeping their love life private until they become well-established as an artist. And Rivers uses singer Ricky Martin (who came out as gay in March 2010 after years of speculation) as an example.

She tells The Advocate:

"If you're going to be a romantic idol and try to get every teenage girl to love you, then you'd be an a** to come out and say you're gay. Ricky Martin was so smart. He did what he did, made his millions and then he said, 'Guess what, everybody? I'm gay...' It didn't matter anymore because he didn't have to bring in 16-year-old girls."

Good ole Joan! Not one to mince her words...

Kylie To Perform At FREE Gay Pride Gig!

Kylie Minogue will will honour her army of gay fans by playing a massive free concert in Spain to thank them for their support.

The Aussie popstar has signed up to perform a huge outdoor show in Madrid this Saturday (3rd July 2010) as part of the city's Gay Pride festivities , which attract thousands of revellers every year.

Minogue will play for free at the Plaza de Espana, and the singer admits she's looking forward to paying tribute to her loyal gay followers.

She says:

"I am really very touched. For a long time now I have had a special relationship with the gay public and I am pleased that they are counting on me to celebrate such a special occasion."

I'm sure the UK fans will be gutted, as their Gay Pride will also be taking place in London on the same day.

Gorillaz To Pay Tribute to 'Hopper' At Glastonbury.

The Gorillaz will pay tribute to late acting legend Dennis Hopper during the band's headlining slot at Britain's Glastonbury festival - by projecting images from his EASY RIDER movie on to the stage.

The band, fronted by Damon Albarn, has been drafted in to replace U2 tonight (25th June 2010) after they pulled out due to Bono's recent back surgery.

And the group is determined to make the show a poignant one by remembering Hopper - who befriended Albarn after narrating Gorillaz's track Fire Coming Out Of The Monkey's Head in 2005.

Albarn tells tabloid newspaper The Sun:

"I think he'd be happy with what we've planned. I know he would want to be doing this if he was still with us.

"I saw him three weeks before he passed away and, obviously he was incredibly ill. But he was very positive about everything."

Gorillaz's co-creator Jamie Hewlett added:

"It's important for someone like him to be remembered because there will be people in the audience who might not know who Dennis Hopper is.

"As soon as you show him as Billy Boy in Easy Rider they will know instantly. We've got the song that Damon's going to play, then we felt that in that environment you need to see iconic images of him on screen, so in the short space of time we've been trying to sort it. We've got complete clearance on Easy Eider. Sony have been amazing and said, 'Use whatever you want.'

"It's a perfect environment to do a tribute to Dennis Hopper."

Weller Reveals Reality TV Gripe.

Paul Weller believes that the music industry will fall into disrepair over the next few years because of the spiralling number of youngsters who see reality TV show competitions as the easiest way to the top of the charts. And in all fairness he might be right...

The rock legend is convinced aspiring artists now look towards TV talent contests and their winners for inspiration, instead of holding up hard-working bands of the past as their heroes.
And the former The Jam frontman fears there will be serious repercussions for the music industry in the years to come.

In an interview with Classic Rock magazine, he says:

"The people who influenced me as I was growing up were all f**king good at what they did. Now, you get your boat-race (face) on telly and you're famous. What sort of message is that? That it's easily attainable? If it's the flick of a switch, you ain't learning f**k all mate. You don't see the journey. There is no journey."

But Weller is adamant the "kids" of today are not to blame - insisting the fault lies with the older generation who created the reality TV show competitions which have been swamping the charts.

He adds:

"I don't blame kids for going on The X Factor. It's a symptom of our times, which is created by my age group and media - not kids..."

Weinstein Company Back In The Black?

Hollywood studio The Weinstein Company is now free of its $450 million debt following a ground-breaking restructuring deal, which saw the company hand over the rights to 200 films including 'HALLOWEEN II' and 'SCARY MOVIE 4'.

The film studio, set up by movie bosses Harvey and Bob Weinstein back in 2005, spiralled into debt over the last few years following a series of risky investments in fashion, TV and online projects.

But their company is now back on track after the Weinsteins agreed an lucrative deal which will see insurance company Ambac pay $115 million of the debt to financial companies Goldman Sachs and Assured Guaranty.

The Weinsteins wiped the rest of the debt by handing over control of 200 films to executives at Goldman Sachs, but they managed to retain the rights to the company's most high-profile movies - including 'Inglourious Basterds', 'Pulp Fiction' and the 'Scream' franchise. The Weinstein Company will also receive a distribution fee on the titles now owned by Goldman - according to The Wrap.

Harvey Weinstein tells the website:

"(It is) the perfect deal - four co mpanies perfectly aligned, in a deal that recoups incredible value for The Weinstein Company, and gives us the wherewithal to continue... We won't be buying clothing or internet companies. Those days are over."

The deal means The Weinstein Company will be able to move forward with a number of projects, including 'The King's Speech', which will see Colin Firth playing England's stammering King George VI, and 'I Don't Know How She Does It' with Sarah Jessica Parker.

'Little Fockers' - FIRST TRAILER!

The first trailer for the new Little Fockers movie has made its online debut, and it looks just as hilarious as the previous two instalments.
Returning for this second sequel are Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, Barbra Streisand, Teri Polo and new additions include Jessica Alba, Laura Dern, Harvey Keitel.

In this story, it has taken 10 years, two little Fockers with wife Pam (Teri Polo) and countless hurdles for Greg to finally get "in" with his disapproving father-in-law, Jack. After the cash-strapped dad takes a job moonlighting for a drug company, however, Jack's suspicions about his favourite male nurse oon come flooding back.

Greg and Pam's entire clan (including Pam's lovelorn ex, Kevin (Owen Wilson)) descends for the twins' birthday party and Greg must prove to the skeptical Jack that he's fully capable as the man of the house. But with all the misunderstandings, spying and covert missions, will Greg pass Jack's final test and become the family's next patriarch? Will the 'circle of trust' ever heal itself again?

Release date has been penned for 22nd December 2010 (in the U.S & UK).

Jackson Family - "Please Don't Use MJ's Name For Money!"

On the first anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson it's inevitable that there will be tributes all over the world, but some are using this time to 'cash in' on his name...and the Jackson Family have had enough - TMZ reports.

A document, signed by Joseph Jackson, Chairman, and Katherine Jackson, Vice Chairman, warns fans by stating:

"Please, do not ... Use the 'Jackson Family" name 'The Jackson Family Foundation' or 'Michael Jackson' as a means to advertise the sale of commercial products, fundraisers or services of any kind."

Despite Michael being their son, they themselves also do not have the right to exploit his name and likeness. That right belongs solely and exclusively to the estate of Michael Jackson. TMZ have discovered that Joe Jackson has created a company that may well be cashing in on Thriller star's name. It's called the Jackson Development & Marketing Corporation, incorporated in Nevada last December, conveniently after Michael died. His father is listed as the director and Lowell Henry, a longtime financial advisor of Joe and Katherine, is the treasurer. No smoke without fire, eh?

If that wasn't enough, Joe seems to be at the centre of an 'unauthorised' memorial party (charging $500 a ticket) which apparently has been confirmed by his spokesperson that all monies will go to charity. However, voiceplate.com (sponsors of the event) have told TMZ that not all the money will go to charity.

Hmmm...

Navratilova Wins Fight Against Cancer!

Former Wimbleden Tennis ace Martina Navratilova has faced one of her fiercest opponents yet, breast cancer, and now she has won the battle!

The nine-time Wimbledon champion was diagnosed with the condition after a routine mammogram in February 2010 and underwent a lumpectomy. She then began a six-week course of radiation therapy in May 2010 and, after receiving her final treatment last week (on the 16th June 2010), the sports legend has been given the all-clear by doctors.

Speaking at the 2010 Wimbledon tournament, she revealed:

"I was very lucky. I dodged a bullet - a big one. And here I am at Wimbledon , cancer-free and feeling pretty good. Hopefully it won't come back. There is a heightened chance of other cancers but a very slight one.

"I didn't know there was such a thing as a good cancer but I certainly got one. It was a wake-up call, no doubt about it."

* Breast Cancer is the most common cancer and accounts for nearly one in three of all cancers in women, and is STILL the second biggest cause of death from cancer in women. But don't be fooled into thinking this only applies to women!

* Men can also suffer from breast cancer (although rare), with as many as 300 men diagnosed with the disease every year in the UK alone.

For more information on being BREAST AWARE, click on this link. Or if you're outside the UK, contact your local doctor / health organisation if you have any concerns.

Early diagnosis means a better chance of recovery!

The Karate Kid (2010) - Review.

Director Harald Zwart brings together a martial arts legend and the son of a rapper / actor, in a remake of the classic 80s movie of the same name. Though this may sound like an unlikely pairing, let alone the drones that may sound upon the mere mention of a remake, viewers will find that it all comes neatly together on screen.

Fans of the original will already be familiar with the basics - boy moves to new city with mum, boy meets a repairman, boy gets bullied, boy learns Karate (or Kung Fu, in this version), and boy beats the bullies. But viewers might not expect the modern twist..

In this version, 12-year-old Dre Parker (played by Jaden Smith) may have been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's (played by Taraji P. Henson) latest career move has meant that both of them move to China. Not knowing what to expect from his new neighbours, Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying (and the feeling is mutual) but cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. As if things could not get any worse, Dre's feelings make an enemy of the class bully, Cheng.

In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng floors him with ease. With no friends in a strange new environment, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han (played by Jackie Chan), who is secretly a master of kung fu. Taking on his first student, Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and revenge, but maturity and calm. Dre soon begins to realise that facing the bullies will be the fight of his life, in addition to going on a journey of self-discovery.

With a running time of 140 minutes, some might wonder whether this movie is goes on for longer than it should. There were times when I resisted the temptation to look at my watch, with the sweeping shots of China keeping my eyes peeled to the screen. But it's not all about landscape, what the viewer needs to understand is that a boy needs to learn what looks like a complex set of Kung Fu moves in a short space of time. The director made it plainly clear on screen that you had to see Dre's determination and passion (despite his initial lazy behaviour) and also understand why Mr. Han is the way he is, and the pain he tries to conceal.

It's been a while since I've done a review like this and despite my initial dislike of remakes in general, I discovered a movie that has (for the time being) restored my faith in remaking a movie - especially one that is not even 30 years old. Putting both the original and this version side by side they offer the same kind of adventure, only this time for a new generation of fans.

I give this movie 4 out of 5

THE BORGIAS - New SHOWTIME Drama.

The season finale of 'The Tudors' aired last Sunday, and while I mourn the ending of such a wonderful series it is time for the royals to move aside to make way for the 'THE BORGIAS'.
This epic drama series will star Oscar® Winner Jeremy Irons and Executive Produced by Academy Award® Winning Director Neil Jordan and Veteran Film and Television Writer/Producer Michael Hirst.

Spread over ten 1-hour episodes this new drama will be based on the infamous Italian Renaissance family The Borgias - with Jeremy Irons will in the role of Rodrigo Borgia - the cunning, manipulative patriarch of The Borgia family who ascends to the highest circles of power within Renaissance-era Italy. It will be a complex, unvarnished portrait of one of history’s most intriguing dynastic families.

The series begins as the family’s patriarch Rodrigo becomes Pope, propelling him, his two Machiavellian sons Cesare and Juan, and his scandalously beautiful daughter, Lucrezia, to become the most powerful and influential family of the Italian Renaissance. Ultimately all that power and influence eventually leads to their demise. As Machiavelli once said about his friends, the Borgias, "Politics have no relation to morals."

Robert Greenblatt, President of Entertainment at Showtime Networks Inc., said this about the project:

"Having blazed a trail with the award-winning THE TUDORS, we wanted to continue to offer our audience a period drama as wicked, witty, and utterly compelling - and that's what THE BORGIAS will be.

"I can guarantee you've never seen a family quite like this before, nor could you make up the outrageous twists and turns of their epic saga if your life depended on it. The directorial mastery of Neil Jordan along with Michael Hirst's flair for bringing historical dramas vividly to life for a contemporary audience will make THE BORGIAS unlike anything else on television."

The new series will get its premiere on Showtime in Spring 2011, but check out the video below if you're curious about what to expect:

TRUE BLOOD Greenlit For A Fourth Season!

HBO has picked up 'True Blood' for a 12-ep fourth season - Variety reports.

Speaking about the good news, creator Alan Ball said:

“I am beyond thrilled to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew.

“This is the most fun I have ever had.”

The smash-hit vampire series will begin production on the fourth season early next year in Los Angeles - with the season premiere set for summer 2011.

The Green Hornet *FIRST TRAILER*

'The Green Hornet' trailer was unveiled last night, with the director and cast members taking questions on this reimagining of the classic masked crime-fighting twosome.

The movie is directed by Michel Gondry and starring Seth Rogan as The Green Hornet along with Jay Chou as Kato

The story centres on Brit Reid (Rogan), the son of LA's most prominent and much respected media mogul (played by Tom Wilkinson) and serial party animal. When Britt discovers that his father died mysteriously he then hears that he will be inheriting a huge media empire. Striking an unlikely alliance with one of his father's industrious and 'creative' employees, Kato (Chou), Britt then begins to realise that there can be more to life than booze and women - a life of fighting crime.
The snag is that they have to become criminals first - protecting the law by breaking it. Thus creating the vigilante The Green Hornet, and along with Kato..they take to the streets.

Kato's lasting inventive legacy would prove to be The Black Beauty, an indestructible car with equal parts firepower and horsepower. Driving in the 'mobile fortress on wheels' and striking the bad guys with Kato's clever gadgets, The Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt's new secretary, Lenore Case (played by Cameron Diaz), they begin hunting down the man who controls LA's gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky (played by Christoph Waltz). But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to bring down The Green Hornet once and for all.

'The Green Hornet' is set for 14th January 2011 release in the U.S - with other locations following shortly. Not only will there be 3-D and 2-D version..but also an IMAX 3-D experience.

Perry Wants Rihanna To Strip For Her.

For her batchelorette party (or 'Hen Party' to us Brits), Katy Perry isn't looking for the ultimate hunky stripper. Instead she wants the sexy Rihanna to bare all!

The I Kissed A Girl singer is preparing to marry Russell Brand and she's given Rihanna the task of organising a pre-wedding knees-up before she walks down the aisle. Perry has decided she won't hire a professional exotic dancer for the event, because she wants Rihanna to show off her body in a sexy striptease.

She tells U.S. DJ Nina Chantele:

"(Rihanna) has all these ideas about everything. You see people coming and they strip at your bachelor party but I want her to strip at my bachelorette party. She's going to get the message right now. She's hot, I love her. She's just the coolest chick and I want all of her clothes. We have a lot in common. We like to hang out every once in awhile, sometimes we'll see each other at different events.

"I don't know if she started this rumour that she's going to do it or if she just hopped on the bandwagon of the rumours like, 'I'm going to do it!' That's the one thing that I don't have to plan, which I'm really excited about."

'Harry Potter' Star Caught Red-Handed!

'Harry Potter' star Jason Isaacs embarrassed himself when he was caught, by the producers, stealing a prop for a friend.

The Brit thesp, who plays villainous Lucius Malfoy in the wizard series, reveals he once picked up a pile of prop newspapers and took them back to his trailer in a bid to impress a friend who was visiting the set. But Isaacs was shamed when movie bosses quickly tracked down the missing items and forced him to give them back.

Speaking at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, ahead of the screening of 'Skeletons', he tells WENN:

"Once I was walking around with a friend and I was trying to impress him with how these rules apply to other people and not me and there was a huge pile of newspapers that Miranda Richardson's (character) writes for and I took it to my trailer.

"I was probably thinking of giving it back; I was just showing off for my friend and within about three seconds there was a (worker) banging at my door of my trailer, 'Can we have those newspapers back!' and appropriately humiliated me in front of my friend! They're absolutely right to do it."

Scissor Sister Not Fazed by Album Leak.

Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears is glad that the band's new album has leaked onto the net, because the response has been "amazing".

The band's third studio release, Night Work, isn't due to go on sale until 28 June 2010, but the tracks have already been illegally uploaded onto the internet. But Shears remains upbeat about the album's early outing, insisting the group's followers will help boost sales by creating an online "buzz " about their new material.

He tells tabloid newspaper The Daily Star:

"I'm actually really excited about the leak because the response has been so amazing. I went on the internet and had a look around and I haven't seen any negative comments.

"The people downloading it will be our hardcore fans who will want to hear it, before everyone else. If they like the album it means they'r e going to tell everyone that it's good so it will get a buzz going before the record comes out."

That's one way of looking at it I guess.

Eminem - The New Tolerant Slim Shady?

Eminem ( a.k.a Marshall Bruce Mathers III ) has been known for may things, including his offensive homophobic song lyrics and his views and his Slim Shady alter ego.

But in a recent interview with the NY Times, the Rapper seems to have calmed down a tad, as he reveals his thoughts on gay marriage and whether we are likely to see the return on the Slim Shady.

Speaking about his 'raping and killing' Shady and his new album 'Recovery', he says:

"Shady still exists. But I don’t think the subjects on this record call for, you know, bring the chainsaws and axes out and murder everyone on this record. There was so much stuff like that off the last record that I felt like I was starting to run it into the ground. I think consciously I went in a different direction with this record."

His album 'Recovery' will be released on 21st June 2010.

McCartney's Next Project.. A Ballet Production?

Paul McCartney is to write the score for a top-secret ballet production, and is delighted to be taking part in such a challenging project.

The Beatles star, who turns 68 today (Friday 18Jun 2010), has signed up to create new music for a forthcoming dance show, and he told BBC News:

"I'm interested in doing things I haven't done before. That offer came up and I love writing music, the two went together and I said, 'Yeah,' so I just accept things before I even know what I'm doing."

McCartney admits the project is still in the planning stage and he doesn't know when the full production will make its debut:

"I don't really know that much about it yet."

Interesting combination... But it's not the first time he's dabbled in classical music. Anyone heard of Ecce Cor Meum? Standing Stone? Or even Paul McCartney's Liverpool Oratorio?

Look them up!

Perez Would Do 'Miley Cyrus Photo' All Over Again!

Celeb-chaser Perez Hilton has said that he has no regrets about linking an 'upskirt' picture of Miley Cyrus on his Twitter feed, and that he would do it all again.

In an exclusive TV interview with HNL's The Joy Behar Show, he said:

"I really do wish I could post that picture [on my website] because a lot of people ... are getting upset over an image they didn't see. It's definitely not child pornography and it's definitely not illegal."

If the backlash of parents of young daughters wasn't enough, the ABC Network pulled their advertisements from his site, but Hilton hoped they would come back eventually.

He continued to say:

"You didn't see anything down there.." adding that he would have decided against posting the picture if Cyrus wasn't wearing underwear.

"I can't help it if America has a dirty imagination."

He received criticism on Monday after he linked to a photo of the 17-year-old pop singer/actress exiting a car on his Twitter feed in which she 'appeared' to many people who viewed the photo not to be wearing underwear. The photo was then removed, however prosecutors could decide to bring child pornography charges against Hilton due to Cyrus being underage. As of yesterday no legal action has been taken...yet!

So why take the picture? Some would say that he takes just about any picture to do with a celebrity, especially what they do when they believe the camera is not on them. On this occasion he decided to choose the photo to highlight the Hannah Montana star's recent "unladylike" and "over sexualized" behavior.

He added:

"It's not showing anything inappropriate. It's not doing anything worse than what Miley's been doing recently.

"She's been in the business for a long time and she's aware that there are paparazzi around. She should be careful about how she exits a car."

Cyrus made a veiled reference to Hilton earlier this week as "some idiot" in an interview with Ryan Seacrest, to which Hilton responded with:

"I would agree with her. I would say I'm a very big idiot, but I'm having fun."

Keep up the good work, Perez! Who says bad PR can't be GOOD PR?

Alexander Skarsgård Speaks About His Marine Service Past.

In a recent interview with TV Guide magazine, True Blood star Alexander Skarsgård revealed that he had a 15-month stint in the Swedish Marines before going back to acting. Now I may not be a die-hard fan but this was something new I learned today.

Kylie To Return To Acting?

Kylie Minogue has revealed that she is "in the process" of choosing her comeback movie role!

The All The Lovers singer shot to fame in Aussie soap opera Neighbours in the 1980s before launching a hugely successful singing career. In the 1990s, she made a handful of movie appearances, with roles in 'The Delinquents', 'Street Fighter' (who could forget) and a small part as the Green Fairy in Moulin Rouge!

Minogue admits she's eager to return to films - and is currently in talks with movie bosses about a new job.

She tells Blackbook magazine:

"The mid-90s were a bad patch, but show me an actor who hasn't done a few bad jobs.

"I have a deep desire to challenge myself with that again. As a 'pop star,' I've created this world for myself, and it becomes very natural to stay inside of it, but I'd love to do some independent films.

"It's still very early, but I'm in the process of choosing between specific parts."

Nolan Tired of 'Batman' Gossip.

Nice to know that he's not looking for inspiration from the fans, which is probably for the best.

Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan is urging film fans to STOP speculating about casting for next Batman film, because he is tired of explaining the online gossip to studio bosses - WENN reports.

Rumours about which actors will join Nolan's third superhero film have been rife ever since The Dark Knight hit cinemas in back in 2008.

Internet gossip sites have been filled with reports about the possible addition of feline femme fatale Catwoman to the next installment in the film franchise - Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie, Cher and Kate Beckinsale have all been linked to the part, while Shia LaBeouf, Johnny Depp and Eddie Murphy have also been linked to the picture - without any official confirmation surfacing.

Warner Bros. film studio chiefs were so exasperated about the gossip they issued a statement last year about the casting speculation, stating:

"It's rumour. There is no script. There is no project to be cast in."

And Nolan admits he's tired of movie bosses asking him about the rumours, saying:

"The studio called me and said: 'Why did you cast Cher?', clear they had been reading things online ..

"At a very early stage after taking on Batman I realised it wasn't going to be helpful to read what people were saying online. I don't really look at the internet. I don't even e-mail - it gives me more time to think."

Marquis Defends Scissor Sisters Album Cover.

Scissor Sisters star Del Marquis has supported the band's controversial new record sleeve art, insisting it is a "really classic-looking album cover".

The group's latest disc, Night Work, has sparked controversy after the cover shot was revealed as a provocative close-up of a man's clenched back-side - but guitarist Del Marquis is proud of the artwork.

He tells Digital Spy:

"I knew that it would invoke different responses from different people. We're a love/hate band - people seem to either veh emently despise us or love us with all their hearts.

"The way someone reacts to it will tell you a lot about that person. People could view it with reactionary homophobia, or they could view it as camp, or high art, or something beautiful. It reminds me of the back of ( The Rolling Stones album) Sticky Fingers actually - it's a really classic-looking album cover.

"The cover's been blown up on billboards all over town and it's really exciting for me to be driving through religiously conservative neighbourhoods and seeing this giant gorgeous clenched man's a**!"

He's right...I don't see anything wrong with it! Could be worse, the person could have been totally naked and shown the front instead of the back. Something to put into perspective.

Diddy Still Wants A UK Football Club.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs is refusing to give up on his dream of owning a UK. football (soccer - to my U.S readers) club after negotiations to take over the beleaguered Crystal Palace FC fell through earlier this year.

The rap mogul was keen to take over struggling team in March 2010, and even conducted meetings with an administrator working on behalf of the bankrupt club. Despite Combs' best efforts the talks eventually fell through, but he is still eager to buy his own football club if the business deal is profitable.

He tells the BBC:

"There was somebody that had looked at it but the business of it (Crystal Palace) just wasn't the right business move for me at the time.

"I'm always looking into different business ventures and it's definitely one of my dreams one day to be a part of a sports franchise, especially a football (soccer) team.

"If the right situation comes my way and it's appealing and we can make the right splash and most importantly build the right team and win... I'm into winning and if it's the right situation then I'm open to it."

I'm sure they have him on speed-dial now!

First Official Promo Shot of New SMURFS movie.

The first promo image from the new live-action Smurfs movie has been released and they look better than their 2-D animated versions, wouldn't you agree? From left to right, you have Grouchy, Papa and Clumsy - looking fresher than ever for their 3-D debut on the big screen in August 2011.

So what delights and adventures can they expect? Well...fans will know that the Smurfs have existed only in the Middle Ages among knights, kings and wizards, including their arch-nemesis Gargamel (played by Hank Azaria) and his cat Azrael, but this story will take them to New York City in our time.

Gargamel discovers their magical village and scatters them into the woods, but as director Raja Gosnell explains all is not lost:

"Unfortunately, Clumsy goes the wrong way into a forbidden grotto where a few other Smurfs follow. Because it's a blue moon, there's a magical portal that transports them to Central Park."

As Gargamel decides to follow them, the Smurfs soon begin to realise that their journey back home will not be an easy one. Along with a few of their friends (including a new addition called 'Gutsy') they find solace in a couple - played by Neil Patrick Harris and Glee's Jayma Mays. Instead of wanting to 'eat the Smurfs' Gargamel simply wants to capture the them to serve as charms, whose mystical essence will make his inept magic more powerful — and dangerous.

Gosnell adds that the Smurfs will appear "..as fully living, breathing creatures..

"They're little mammals. They're vulnerable little creatures in our big modern world."

How will the Smurfs survive? With their sweet and innocent ways, they are bound to clash with the brash city life in their quest to get back home.

For those wanting to some footage of this new movie, keep your eyes peeled! Yahoo will unveil the trailer TOMORROW!
