'Gossip Girl' star Blake Lively seems to be edging closer to bagging the female lead, opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of 'The Great Gatsby' - after she was spotted dining with the director and his star yesterday (3rd November 2010).
The newly-single actress was part of an eight-person business dinner with DiCaprio and Luhrmann at New York's The Lion, according to UsMagazine.com.
DiCaprio has been cast as Jay Gatsby in the movie adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's literary masterpiece and insiders have suggested Lively is close to signing on as love interest Daisy Buchanan.
Does this put a spaner in the works for Scarlett Johansson and Michelle Williams?
Both have also reportedly been considered for the role.
