Narnia 'Dawn Treader' To Get Its First 3-D Royal Premiere!

A 3-D screening of  'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader' has been selected for the 63rd Royal Film Performance™. The Royal and World Premiere screening event will take place in late November 2010 in London, in the presence of members of the Royal Family - full details of which will be disclosed nearer the time.

The Royal Film Performance™, is the principal fundraising event of The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF), the trade charity for the UK film and television industries. The CTBF provides care and financial support to industry employees and their families who fall on hard times, and has been invaluable especially during the recent recession.

The film is a Twentieth Century Fox and Walden Media production, and will be released in the UK and Ireland on December 10, for the first time in digital 3D. Directed by Michael Apted, this exciting new chapter in the Narnia saga reunites Georgie Henley and Skandar Keynes with Ben Barnes. Joining them on their fantastical journey is Will Poulter (star of 'Son of Rambow'). Liam Neeson plays the voice of Aslan, while Simon Pegg voices the valiant ‘warrior mouse’ Reepicheep.

CTBF Chief Exec, Brian Robertson said:

“We are thrilled to be able to host the Royal and World Premiere of this highly anticipated film which looks set to enchant audiences across the World. This will be a landmark event attended by members of the Royal Family, an acclaimed British cast and this will be the first ever Royal Film Performance™ in digital 3D. We are grateful to Twentieth Century Fox and to the Royal Family for their continued support of this important fundraising event”.

Further details about the event and how to purchase tickets will be available on the CTBF website within the coming weeks.
