A New Mission For Charlie's Angels!
With all the hype surrounding the 'Hawaii Five-O' reboot, it was only a matter of time before another classic TV show got a makeover. And yes folks...it's 'Charlie's Angels' in the frame once again - according to Deadline.
The ABC Network has requested that a new pilot be made (to be produced by SONY TV) after it was originally set up at ABC with a pilot commitment last November with Josh Friedman as a writer. With all the best attempts, it didn’t go to pilot stage and, after the upfronts, it was put in redevelopment with new writers, 'Smallville' creators/executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar. Given the success of their young Clark Kent story, it would be foolish not to expect them to wave their magic onto Charlie's girls.
Miami will be the location for the shoot, kick-starting in January 2011. Gough and Millar are exec producing, along with Leonard Goldberg (who produced the original series), Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen.
As yet there is no news as to who the new Angels will be. Will they opt for a younger cast, or a more experienced line-up?
