Boomtown Rats Reunion Looking Unlikely!

LONDON - JULY 02: Sir Bob Geldof performs on stage at 'Live 8 London' in Hyde Park on July 2, 2005 in London, England. The free concert is one of ten simultaneous international gigs including Philadelphia, Berlin, Rome, Paris, Barrie, Tokyo, Cornwall, Moscow and Johannesburg. BOOMTOWN RATS star Pete Briquette has gone on record and ruled out the possibility of a reunion, insisting the rockers have had too many "disputes" to come together again.

Briquette has been in the studio with his former bandmate Bob Geldof (pictured above) to help produce his upcoming solo album, How To Compose Popular Songs That Will Sell.

But he's convinced the partnership won't mean a comeback for the Irish rockers.

He says:

"We've all had disputes in the band so it would be hard to do it. I'd love to for sentimental reasons but who would want to see a bunch of middle-aged old blokes on stage?"

Never say never, Pete!
