New Brothers Grimm 'SNOW WHITE' to be in 3-D.

Some of you may have heard last week that Relativity Media are working on a brand new live-action adaptation of The Brothers Grimm: Snow White - from a script written by Melisa Wallack. Brett Ratner will be producing the project and MTV's Eric Ditzian recently caught up with him backstage at the MTV Movie Awards, and he mentioned that he was looking forward to the project...and that it will be in 3-D!

Ratner said:

"'Snow White'... I'm producing, I'm not directing," he said. "But I'm excited about it. It's an edgier kind of reinvention, but the script is excellent and I'm looking forward to it, I'm just happy to be a part of it.

"We're gonna shoot it for 3-D, it's better like that. The conversion [process] is still kind of iffy."

There have been many versions of the classic gothic tale (my personal favourites being the Disney version, and Michael Cohn's Snow White: A Tale of Terror) and Ratner acknowledges the challenges ahead to make this one a success.
He adds:

"It's a classic story. You know, Walt Disney made the best movie ever made, so it's not easy. But it's a fantastic script-- we go back to the original folklore. The original source material is much edgier."
