Stallone says no to more Rocky movies!
Source: World Entertainment News Network
I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm glad Sylvester Stallone won't be doing anymore Rocky movies...and am sure even the fans will agree.
The 60 year old actor wanted to make one last Rocky movie to protect the series' legacy...and insisted that the story of the underdog boxer is now finished.
When discussing the possibility of a seventh instalment, Stallone said;
"No! Definitely not! When he says, 'Yo Adrian, we did it!' he means we're done. We lived the life. I'm a big believer that, in life, we can't succeed in everything.
"Most times, we lose. But the few times we do win, we have to make sure they were important battles. Lose the little ones along the way, sure, but make sure you win the ones that relate to love and relationships and major personal passions.
"I just want Rocky to be remembered - for the legacy he leaves behind. For running up the steps and the music. People really do run up those steps, y'know. For inspiration."
Well said Sylvester, and a wise choice!
Diaz just getting on with life.
Source: World Entertainment News Network
Well...it's FRIDAY again, and what better way to end the week than with a bit of wisdom from the Diaz woman!
As mentioned earlier in my blog, it seems that Cameron Diaz refuses to cry herself to sleep, following her split with Justin Timberlake..as she believes that breaking up is just part of the journey of life. She said that she's "..very happy.." with the direction her life is now taking, and adds:
"You just go through having your heart broken in relationships. It's never fun, but you know you have to get over it at some point or another. Overall I'm very happy with everything now. My life is a journey just like everybody else's.
"Some days I think I've got everything all figured out, and other days I'm like, what the hell is going on? But that's the real human experience that everyone has.!"
While I believe she does have a point, I also couldn't help but wonder that she missed the other part of pushing your feelings of hurt to the back...in order to put on a happy face. That is also very human when going through a break-up.

News: The LOST BOYS to get a sequel!
Source: IESB
It's been confirmed by movie website IESB that a sequel WILL go ahead to the 80s hit movie, The Lost Boys, and is set to start production in 2007. The website's Robert Sanchez said:
"After a few phone calls today, I was able to confirm that a sequel to The Lost Boys will indeed start shooting sometime in the first quarter of 2007 in San Diego, CA. It is slated for a direct to DVD release with no theatrical plans at this time. This continues WB’s plans to make low budget DTV sequels from their extensive film library. While very little is known about the plot or about who will be directing or even who has been cast in the film, we know the story will revolve around surfing vampires in Southern Califoria. Yes, you read that right, surfing vampires."
Rumours of a sequel have been floating around ever since the movie was released and Joel Schumacher had pitched a sequel idea in the 90s...but unfortunately that fell flat on its face. Can you believe it that there was even talk of remaking (tragedy it would have been) the movie, and calling it The Lost Girls. Eeek!
Anyway...as soon as there's more news..be sure to tune in here!

News: Salma Hayek & Ugly Betty
Source: World Entertainment News Network
Ugly Betty is one of the best series I've seen from the States. Ever since Season 3 of Desperate Housewives started to turn stale, I felt the ABC network needed a fresh new comedy...and I feel there is now something that probably will appeal to viewers from all backgrounds. Not that the others don't, but I think Ugly Betty tugs at the heart strings a lot more, and yet there is a great balance of comedy too.
Salma Hayek (who plays Sofia Reyes) has given her spoken out in support of the series, which she also is an executive producer of. She's insisting that the hit series challenges the traditional notions of beauty, rather than enforcing them. Hayek said that the show's title and content are meant to be an ironic take on conventional views, and added:
"The title has a lot to do with the tone of the show - it's sarcastic. I don't think Betty is really ugly, but what do we call ugly now?
"Some people think that anybody who is not super-skinny and really tall is ugly. Not for me. I personally have seen a lot of really skinny, tall models that are ugly and need to eat a little more to look healthy.
"So the title is actually sarcastic, we're making fun of it - we're not really calling her ugly, we're making fun of people that would think she's ugly. Personally, I think she's beautiful."
And so she is too! It's really true what they say that no matter what anyone looks like...at the end of the day it's their personality that ultimately makes them attractive or not.
Hayek isn't stopping there, as she has now asked close friend Penelope Cruz to guest star on an upcoming episode. She's been trying to find Cruz the right role ever since the show started in 2006. Hayek adds:
"We're going to do something with her, but maybe later."
So what kind of man does Hayek go for? Something like the type her Sofia Reyes character goes for? Well...her attitude isn't much different, as the actress won't compromise on her ideal man, and to be honest...why should she! She says:
"What confuses and scares me most about men is the way they are so weak. Well, most of them. That's why they pretend to be detached and macho because they are very weak and fragile underneath. They structure their lives so they don't have to deal with their emotions and feelings. That scares me.
"My mother always says, 'When are you going to get married?' And I say, 'When I find a man that has more balls than I do!"
I so hear you Salma!

News: Cruz denies gay rumours!
Latina beauty Penelope Cruz has laughed off rumours that she is having a gay relationship with her best friend, Salma Hayek.
They have been close friends for years and Hayek posed for a series of pictures for Cruz which were published in Interview magazine in the U.S. However they also posed together for one provocative picture showing Cruz grabbing Hayek's rear end, which lead to the rumours that they were more than just friends.
Speaking on the Late Show With David Letterman last night, Cruz defended the photo when the host displayed it to the audience. She said:
"You know what they've been saying because of that picture? We're like sisters and we have some sense of humour..
"We did that in front of 100 photographers and the story now is that apparently we are lovers. I'm sorry to say that is not the case!"
News: Clive Owen - the new face of Lancôme for Men!
The Children of Men actor has been named as the face of Lancôme's brand new men's range. Not only was he chosen for his good looks but for his achievements as an actor, the popular cosmetic company has revealed.
Odile Roujol, general manager of Lancôme International, said:
"The way he has built his career so far, privileging the quality of the director rather than the high-profile nature of a role, makes us feel very confident in the fact that if he chose to accept this collaboration with Lancôme, then it truly means our partnership was meant to be."
Clive is set to appear in a series of ads to promote the new grooming products, which will include a fragrance and anti-ageing skin creams. He will follow in the footsteps of other stunning celebrities who have also fronted campaigns for Lancôme, including Uma Thurman and Isabella Rossellini.
This new ad campaign will be launched in the Spring, and I for one am very much looking forward to it.

News: Beyonce says 'Hola!' to the Latin Song Chart!
Source: World Entertainment News Network
Ahh yes, there's nothing like the hearing a song in Spanish. Of course it helps if you understand the language! Gloria Estefan, Shakira, Martika (now there's a name you thought you'd never see again), Celine Dion...and even the Spice Girls have dabbled to appeal to the Latino market. Now Beyonce Knowles will cash in on the act, having discovered that a Spanish version of her hit song 'Irreplaceable' completely stormed the Hot Latin Songs chart.
Beyonce announced to Univision.com that her latest album, B'Day, will now be re-released to include to include 4 new tracks in Spanish. For one of the new songs, 'Beautiful Liar', will team up with Colombian songstress Shakira.
Of course I'll be having a listen to the re-release of the album to see if it lives up to the hype ;)
