Actor Cary Elwes is reportedly in trouble with U.S. tax officials after failing to hand over more than $68,000 (£45,300) in back payments.
The 'SAW' star and his wife Lisa were hit with a tax lien by bosses at America's Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in September this year.
The papers, filed at the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds office and obtained by The Detroit News, claim the couple owes $68,648 (£45,765).
I'm baffled! How is it some stars seem to fall into this mess? It's not as if they don't have the money, so like everyone else...we all have to pay taxes!
So I can only guess that either people spend way more than they earn, or they don't understand the tax system? Still, with all that money, wouldn't you want to hire someone who DOES know about how to complete the relevant payments / paperwork?
As I said...I'm baffled! :/
The Who are teaming up with Debbie Harry, Richard Ashcroft and Jeff Beck to put on a charity concert to raise funds for a pioneering new cancer treatment.
Ace promoter Harvey Goldsmith and The Who's manager Bill Curbishley have organised the gig at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo in January 2011 to help U.K. charity Killing Cancer.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards funding the installation of groundbreaking light therapy lasers in British hospitals.
And Goldsmith admits the cause is close to his heart following the recent death of his beloved mother.
He says:
"I lost my mother to cancer in the past 12 months. I saw how she struggled but finally lost the fight.
"The funds Bill, myself and some great friends in the business have already pledged, is giving pancreatic cancer patients real hope".
Tickets go on sale from 19th November!
Actor Stephen Fry has offered to pay legal bills for a fellow Twitter.com user who was fined for joking about blowing up an airport in a post on the microblogging site.
Paul Chambers hit the headlines in England earlier this year when he was arrested for writing a message on the site threatening to blow Robin Hood Airport in Doncaster, northern England "sky high" after snowy conditions closed the building and he missed a flight.
He was found guilty of sending a menacing electronic communication and Fry, famous for his love of Twitter, was outraged by the conviction - especially as Chambers insisted the post was meant as a joke.
Chambers lost an appeal earlier this month and the judge ordered him to pay £3,000 worth of legal costs, but Fry has now offered to pay the fine out of his own pocket.
He writes:
"Paul J Chambers. My offer still stands. Whatever they fine you, I'll pay."

Actor Denis Leary left a teenage fan gob-smacked during a recent trip to the cinema - after he threatened to hit her with her own phone if she didn't stop texting.
The 'Rescue Me' actor had taken his son Jack to watch a movie, but he became annoyed when the young girl sitting next to him continued using her mobile phone during the flick.
When he leaned over and whispered a rude threat, the girl looked up to see who was interrupting her messaging - and quickly stopped when she recognised the star.
He tells the Boston Herald:
"So I let two or three (texts) go by. But she kept on texting. So I leaned over to her, and in a low voice - and you can just guess the language - I told her, 'If you do not stop texting on that phone, I'm gonna take it and hit you over the head with it!' She looked up, saw it was me, and turned completely white!
"I mean, why do you come to the movies if all you're going to do is sit there and text your friends? Go outside in the car!"
This age-old compulsion to keep texting in the cinema, when they're supposed to be watching the movie, baffles me!
If it's something important, why go to the cinema in the first place? And I agree with Denis, if they need to text...why don't they go outside for a bit?
Sometimes I get the impression people are constantly dealing with life or death scenarios, because what other explanation can there be where a person can't stop texting when the lights go down?
