For those who thought that the '28 Days Later' zombie movie franchise was finally decapitated, then think again!

Dread Central has been told exclusively that Danny Boyle, is planning to return to direct the as-of-yet untitled third film in the franchise.

The site says:

"For those wondering, this news has come from Boyle himself. The director indicated to a good friend of our site that "there's another 28 Days Later in the works."

When asked if the title would be 28 Months Later, Boyle replied "In theory, yes." Immediately the next question was if he'd be producing, to which Boyle responded, "Actually I want to direct it." There you have it, kids. From the horse's mouth."

So the question of when this movie will be made still remains unanswered!

'Mr. Nice' actor Rhys Ifans will play the villain, opposite fellow Brit Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, in the 'Spider-Man' reboot!

The announcement was made Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Matt Tolmach, president of Columbia Pictures. The movie, to be directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and produced by Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin, will begin production in December this year, and will be released in cinemas (in 3D) on in summer 2012!

Speaking as part of the announcement, Tolmach said:

"We have been very fortunate to attract some of the best actors working today to play the villains in the Spider-Man movies, and it is exciting to see that trend continue with Rhys Ifans. After seeing his performance in our upcoming film 'Anonymous,' we're in awe of his talent and think he's the perfect choice to take on this role."

But which villain Ifans will play is another matter, as currently moviemakers are staying tight-lipped on this subject.

Webb adds:

"What sets the Spider-Man villains apart is the complexity of their relationships with Peter Parker. Rhys' incredible ability to embody both warmth and rage makes him the ideal choice for this character."

Really looking forward to this, and keeping my fingers crossed that he's the new Goblin! :)

Singer MIKA is keeping a bedside vigil for his sister after she was admitted to hospital following a freak fall out of a window.

The Love Today hitmaker was with his sibling, Paloma Penniman, in the early hours of yesterday morning (10th October 2010) after she fell 50 feet (15 metres) from a window at her home and landed on a metal rail. Penniman's legs were both impaled and one spike from the railing entered her abdomen, according to various reports.

Mika called an ambulance to her home in Kensington, West London, where firefighters are believed to have cut into a section of the railings to help her.

Paloma was then taken to the Royal London Hospital, where Mika is "utterly inconsolable" at her side, according to The Sun.

A source tells the publication:

"To say he's traumatised by this doesn't even come close. It's the stuff of nightmares. Paloma had surgery today on her abdomen and legs - but she is critically ill. Mika is out of his mind with worry. No one really knows what happened. One minute Paloma was sitting on the window-ledge, the next she had fallen on to the railings."

A spokesperson for Mika made this statement:

"Paloma had a serious accident. She is in a critical but stable state. The family have asked for privacy at this time."

Hope she makes a good recovery!
