Cameron To Direct 3-D BLACK EYED PEAS Movie.
The Black Eyed Peas are teaming up with 'AVATAR' director James Cameron to film a 3D movie following their world tour.
The Boom Boom Pow hitmakers handpicked the filmmaker to helm the full-length movie project, simply because he's "the biggest director".
The footage will be released in 2011 and will utilise the same t echnology that Cameron used on his epic movie 'Avatar'.
Bandmember will.i.am says:
"We have the biggest director, because we ar e the biggest group on the planet. The Peas are filming it in South America. People will be able to see us in the theatre with the 3D glasses and everything.
"We've toured from America and Europe, to the Middle East, South Americ a, Asia and Africa. It's not like we go, 'Yo, we are international, you know what I'm saying? London and Paris!' Nah, that's just two cities. We want to go across the planet."
Is the world ready for 3-D Peas?
Winehouse To Form A Supergroup?
Amy Winehouse is bulging at the seams with new creative ideas, and her latest one involves teaming up with The Roots drummer, QUESTLOVE, to form a new supergroup!
The Back To Black hitmaker is planning to make music with the hip-hop musician, along with producer Raphael Saadiq (who will be on guitar) according to Questlove (real name Ahmir Thompson). But there's a slight problem in moving forward with the project.. Yep, you guessed it, her visa to enter America.
Winehouse was previously denied entry to the U.S. for the 2008 Grammy Awards after she was arrested in October 2007, when she was caught in possession of seven grammes of marijuana in Norway.
But Thompson is adamant the band will soon begin work on new music, stating:
"The group will definitely happen. It's just the closest she can come to the States is Jamaica. I'm off to France soon so I'll see if she's up for di scussing it over dinner. We're Skyping the s**t out of each other."
Amy, if by any stroke of luck you're reading this, please get your new album completed and in the shops! I'm sure your fans appreciate your efforts in trying to put a band together, but we want more of your solo stuff.
ANDREW GARFIELD - The New Peter Parker!
Sony have finally silenced months of casting rumours by announcing Andrew Garfield as their new Peter Parker in the brand new 'SPIDER-MAN' reboot!
Although not an obvious choice by movie gossip sites, he has somewhat of a rapport with the studio - having co-starred in 2008's 'The Other Boleyn Girl' (which Sony distributed in the U.S.), and last year's 'The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus' (by Sony Pictures Classics in the U.S.). Garfield can be seen starring alongside Jesse Eisenberg in David Fincher's 'The Social Network', due for release late this Autumn. He found out the news of his Spidey casting whilst promoting this movie.
Garfield (named by Variety as one of its 10 Actors to Watch back in 2007) managed to beat other high callibre actors to fill Tobey Maguire's red boots, including Jamie Bell, and Alden Ehrenreich. Each were supposedly "announced" as having secured the role..as well as other potential candidates, such as Josh Hutcherson.
Marc Webb will be directing the 3D 'Spider-Man' pic (with a release date of Summer 2012) and filming is due to start early December 2010.
Speaking about this latest casting announcement, Webb said:
"Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor's work understand his extraordinary talents. He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit and humanity."
Well done, Andrew!

Streep To Portray THATCHER In New Biopic?
The Hollywood Reporter is leading with a story which states that Meryl Streep is in talks to reteam with 'Mamma Mia!' director Phyllida Lloyd for 'Thatcher' - a biopic of the controversial and our long-governing former Tory Prime Minister (developed by Pathé and BBC Films). Jim Broadbent is apparently in talks to play Maggie's husband, Denis.
The movie will be set in 1982 and will focus on Thatcher as she tries to save her career in the 17 days before the 1982 Falklands War. The two and a half-month war was a turning point for the Prime Minister, who, after the victory, saw her approval ratings double and went on to win a second term.
Damien Jones ('Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll') will act as producer, along with Brian Fillis who wrote the screenplay.
Streep hasn't yet signed on the dotted line, but if she does..I'm sure she'll sail through the job.
