Grammer Wants FRASIER Spin-off!

Just when you thought you saw the last of hit series 'Frasier', along comes Kelsey Grammer with plans to revive his most famous character for a new TV show.

The actor found fame playing the pompous psychiatrist in hit 1980s TV show 'Cheers', and he went on to star in hugely successful spin-off series 'Frasier'.

Grammer enjoyed 20 years playing the beloved character before 'Frasier' came to an end in 2004 after more than a decade on the small screen.Despite many attempts he has since failed to replicate his success and has seen a number of new shows flop including 'Back To You' and 'Hank', and he's now considering bringing back the cast of 'Frasier' for a "reunion show".

The funnyman shared the idea with his followers on Twitter.com and also pondered plans for a 'Frasier' spin-off, focusing on the characters' children.

In a series of tweets, he writes:

"Maybe it is time for a Frasier reunion. (It's) very interesting to say the least... maybe a Frasier reunion on like a new show seriously thinking about that!!!"

He later adds:

"I'm now really thinking maybe a spin-off of Frasier? How would u (sic) feel about that with like my son and (Frasier's fictional brother) Niles' sibling? Cameos by old cast?... Maybe an updated theme to be centred around social media. Now that would be powerful, include like Twitter... iPhones etc."

While I really enjoyed the series, I'm not sure if a spin-off would be as popular. It goes without saying that this reeks of someone desperately wanting a slice of what once was. Yes, 'Frasier' was a spin-off from 'Cheers', but it doesn't mean that a show today could succeed. Just look at 'Joey'! Not the best...

TRUE BLOOD Stars In Auction Competition.

HOLLYWOOD - JUNE 08: (L-R) Actor Stephen Moyer, actress Anna Paquin and actor Alexander Skarsgard arrive at the premiere of HBO's 'True Blood' Season 3 at The Cinerama Dome on June 8, 2010 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Michael Buckner/Getty Images)

'True Blood' stars Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgård have been competing to raise the most money for their favourite charities with a series of online auctions. Although they're both doing well, it would seem that Moyer has pulled out an unlikely gem...quite literally.

Both actors have put personal items and memorabilia up for sale on eBay.com and the star with the smallest total at the end of the contest has agreed to be photographed wearing a t-shirt designed by the winner.

Moyer's 'modesty sock' (used to cover his genitals during filming of the hit vampire show) is proving popular with fans, with the highest bid currently standing at $545 (£363), while an autographed script has reached $900 (£600).

The Brit is backing the Gulf Aid organisation, while Skarsgard has picked the SOS Children's Villages charity, which aims to help orphaned kids in the Ukraine.

Both are worthy causes...but to view what the stars are auctioning, have a look at the pages below:

Byrne Acts Coy Over 'X-MEN' Reports.

Most have been talking about who wore what, and who won at Emmys in LA over the weekend. 'Damages' actress Rose Byrne was also there to, so this was the ideal time to ask about those 'X-Men' reports. Unfortunately she didn't give too much away.
 The Aussie star said:

"Well, I feel like I don't want to get in trouble so I'm just not going to say anything."

But despite not talking too much about her reportedly signing to play Dr. Moira MacTaggert, she did confess to being a fan of the previous movies.

"Yeah absolutely, but I'll refrain from commenting."

If reports are true, then why be coy about it? My guess is that there might be a few last minute contract deets to sort out before she can give the full nod.

Any ideas?

Goldberg Pulls Out Of 'Sister Act'!

LONDON, ENGLAND - AUGUST 18: To mark her run in the West End Musical 'Sister Act', Madame Tussauds London today unveiled a re-dressed wax figure of actress, Whoopi Goldberg, wearing an exact replica of the costume she wears on stage as Mother Superior on August 18, 2010. The usual red silk Chinese style trouser suit was swapped for a full length black and white habit, complete with wimple and veil. The figure was first unveiled at Madame Tussauds in 1990 coinciding with her Oscar winning performance in Ghost. (Photo by Ian Gavan/Getty Images)

Whoopi Goldberg, who is currently playing the role of Mother Superior in Sister Act in London's West End, has had to withdraw from the rest of her run due to a family emergency.

A statement from the producers of the show, Stage Entertainment, said:

“After receiving the news that her mother has suffered from a severe stroke, Whoopi Goldberg has had to fly home today, Friday 27 August, to be with her family. The role of Mother Superior will be played by Ms Goldberg’s understudy until Thursday 2 September, when Sally Dexter will assume the role.

“Ms Goldberg is very sorry not to be able to perform as planned and the thoughts and sincere best wishes of the producers and the entire Sister Act company are with her at this difficult time.”

Most of you will know that Goldberg played the lead role of Deloris Van Cartier in the hit 1992 movie upon which this musical is based, and although she initially said she would remain firmly behind the scenes for this stage version, the movie, television and Broadway actress finally decided to make her West End debut by taking over the role of Mother Superior from her predecessor, Sheila Hancock, for a limited season from 10th to 31st August.

Ticket-holders who no longer wish to see the performance due to Goldberg’s withdrawal are advised to contact the vendor where they purchased their tickets.

Very bad news for Whoopi (and for anyone in a similar circumstance)! I'm sure her fans are thinking of her at this time.

Depardieu Questions Binoche's Talent!

Veteran French actor Gerard Depardieu has taken a verbal swipe at fellow French star Juliette Binoche, insisting he can't understand why she receives so much credit for her acting abilities.

The outspoken 'Green Card' star has sparked a new celebrity feud after publicly slating the Oscar winner, labelling her as "nothing".

He reportedly tells The Guardian newspaper:

"I would really like to know why she has been so esteemed for so many years. She has nothing .. Absolutely nothing! She is nothing.

"Compared with her (sic), Isabelle Adjani is great, even if she's totally nuts. Or Fanny Ardant - she is magnificent, extremely impressive. But Binoche? What has she ever had going for her?"

Saucer of milk, Mr. Depardieu?

David Yost - Being The Blue Power Ranger, And Being Gay.

For anyone who watched the Power Rangers as a teenager (yes...I did too), you might remember David Yost as the Blue Ranger? Well...the actor has recently admitted in a candid interview that he was discriminated against because of his sexuality, and this was the main reason he left the show.

The 41 year old says:

“I was called ‘faggot’ one too many times [by the show’s] creators, producers, writers, directors.

"Basically I just felt like I was continually being told I'm not worthy of where I am because I'm quote-unquote a gay person, and I'm not supposed to be an actor and you can't be a superhero. That's sort of the vibe that I was getting.

“And I know that my co-stars were called in a couple of times to different producers’ offices and questioned about my sexuality, which is kind of a humiliating experience to find that out.”

I'm sure this has happened before in the entertainment world, but I cannot believe that someone could be treated like that. Worse still that no-one lost their job over it.

Very poor treatment indeed!

Barlow Unsure If Williams Is Back For Good.

LONDON, ENGLAND - AUGUST 26: (UK TABLOID NEWSPAPERS OUT) L-R Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams pose before an interview with Chris Moyles on Radio 1 held at The Radio 1 Building on August 26, 2010 in London, England. (Photo by Dave Hogan/Getty Images)

Singer Gary Barlow isn't totally convinced Robbie Williams' return to TAKE THAT will be permanent, predicting the band will be a fourpiece again one day.

Williams has rejoined the British boy band that made him famous, 15 years after he threw in the towel to pursue a solo career, and the reunited group is preparing to release a new album in November 2010.

But frontman Barlow admits the full reunion may be short-lived.

Speaking to DJ Chris Moyles:

"This is our 20th year for all of us this year. So to do a one-off album, and maybe a one-off tour would be a great thing this year.

"We all agreed that unless it was a great record we wouldn't even go there and we've got a great record. I think once we've done that Rob will go back to being Rob and we'll go back to being a four, I think it'll resume to how it was."

Such confidence in their old friend....but Gary may be right. For the meantime though, it appears that their fans are enjoying Gary and Robbie's new single - Shame. No..not a shame, that's what the song is called...Shame.

Craig and Watson Are 'Too Busy' For Romance!

LONDON, ENGLAND - MAY 26: Actress Emma Watson poses in the winners room at the National Movie Awards 2010 at the Royal Festival Hall on May 26, 2010 in London, England. (Photo by Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images)

Musician George Craig has dismissed rumours that suggest he's romancing HARRY POTTER star Emma Watson, and insists the they're just too busy to date.

The actress sent tongues wagging of a relationship with the singer after appearing in a music video for his band, One Night Only, and accompanying him to Glastonbury music festival in June this year.

But Craig regrets he doesn't have the time to romance Watson, who is currently studying at America's Brown University.

He says:

"We went to Glastonbury together and there is chemistry between us. We like each other a lot and I have a lot of respect for her. (But) I'm a single man. We really fancy each other but are just good friends. We're not boyfriend and girlfriend.

"We both live such busy lifestyles. In an ideal world, for me anyway, it would be great if we could be together but we can't. I'm doing my thing and she's doing hers. Maybe if the situation changed, we might be together."

Awww...isn't that sweet!

'BOND' Not Finished, Says Pinewood Studio Boss.

LONDON - JANUARY 24: (UK TABLOID NEWSPAPERS OUT) Actor Daniel Craig attends a photocall to celebrate the start of production of the 22nd James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace' at Pinewood Studios on January 24, 2008 near London, England. (Photo by Dave Hogan/Getty Images)

A Pinewood Studio boss has assured fans there will be another outing for 007 - despite the next installment being currently on hold.

Producers of the as-yet-untitled 23rd movie had hoped for a release in 2011 or 2012 but have been forced to stall Daniel Craig's third turn as James Bond indefinitely due to uncertainty over the future of MGM.

The decision sparked fears among some fans that Bond has saved the world for the last time - but the CEO of Pinewood, Ivan Dunleavy, has moved to end the speculation.

He says:

"I am sure there will be another Bond movie in future."

He is also confident that the planned closure of the UK Film Council will not be the end of movie-making in Britain, adding:

"That decision has been made and there are a number of functions that the UK Film Council performs and they will be ongoing."

Nolan Waiting For All-Clear After Cancer Treatment.

Snow and icy conditions are currently causing havoc across the UK with airports shutting, flights being cancelled and main roads suffering from black ice. Britain faces 'one of the coldest winters in 100 years'. Photograph: PacificCoastNews.com

Bernie Nolan is nearing the end of her chemo treatment and is eagerly awaiting the all-clear from her doctor.

The 49-year-old I'm in the Mood for Dancing singer was diagnosed with breast cancer in April this year, and began undergoing sessions of chemotherapy to treat it.

Now Nolan hopes she's winning her health battle after completing the majority of her six-week program, according to her sister Maureen.

She tells OK! magazine:

"(Bernie's) reducing the tumour the whole time. She went home this week and has one day of chemotherapy left. I watched her on (British TV show) GMTV with her bald head and I had such a lump in my throat. I thought if you were at home and you were battling cancer, it would really help to see her and her positive attitude. She's inspirational."

And Bernie is making such good progress, doctors recently allowed her to travel to Spain to attend Maureen's wedding.

Bernie says:

"It was touch and go whether the doctors would let me go. Thankfully they said yes. It was a magical day and one I am so glad I did n't miss. I felt very emotional and so proud of my beautiful big sis."

Lucas Takes Legal Action Against 'Mind Control' Firm.

George Lucas is taking heavy legal action against a technology company for allegedly hijacking a 'Star Wars' reference to market "mind control" products.

Lawyers representing the sci-fi franchise's creator fired off a cease-and-desist order to bosses at Jedi Mind Inc in May last year, demanding they stop using the name of Star Wars' famous mystical space age knights.

The boss of the company, which makes futuristic computer headsets which use brain waves to run software applications, allegedly agreed to phase out the Jedi Mind trademarks but representatives for the movie giant's LucasFilm company claim the demand was not met, even after another legal letter several months later.

Now Lucas' attorneys have filed a $5 million (£3.3 million) trademark lawsuit against the firm, stating that the name will cause confusion in the marketplace and harm LucasFilm's business and reputation, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The lawsuit claims ownership of:

"all characteristics associated with the Jedi knights not memorialised in a registered trademark, including Jedi robes, the lightsabre weapon, the power to levitate objects, a telepathic oneness with other Jedi and the universe, and the ability to shoot energy beams called 'force lightning' from the fingertips."

The moral of the story? Don't mess with George Lucas or Star Wars!

Jazz funk band Jamiroquai are set to reform to release their first album in 5 years!

The Space Cowboy hitmakers parted ways after releasing 2005's Dynamite because lead singer Jay Kay was too exhausted to continue with the busy schedule at the time.

But after stepping out of the spotlight, Jamiroquai is now set to release a comeback record, Rock Dust Light Star, this November.

Jay Kay tells The Sun:

"I was knackered (tired). The whole thing became a little sterile. But everything has clicked now."

Now this I am definitely looking forward to!

LaBeouf Excited About Next 'INDIANA JONES' Movie!

NEW YORK - MAY 20: (L-R) Actors Karen Allen, Harrison Ford, and Shia LaBeouf attend the New York premiere of 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' at the AMC Magic Johnson Theatre in Harlem May 20, 2008 in New York City. (Photo by Stephen Lovekin/Getty Images)

'Transformers' star Shia LaBeouf has confirmed that he is in talks to return in the fifth installment of the 'Indiana Jones' franchise - the Daily Express reports.

Harrison Ford reprised his role as the heroic archaeologist in 2008's 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull', nearly 20 years after 1989's 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'.

Ford has since confirmed movie bosses Steven Spielberg and George Lucas are working on a follow-up, but stresses he will only sign up if he likes the story. And now LaBeouf, who played Jones' son Mutt in the latest film, is looking forward to the new storyline.

He says:

"They're scriptwriting now. It sounds crazy. It sounds really cool."

Despite various reports previously suggesting that the project was shelved, the movie has apparently been pencilled in for a 2012 release - potentially coinciding with Ford's 70th birthday!

Madonna Doesn't Like Being A 'MATERIAL GIRL'!

Pop queen Madonna is urging her fans to stop referring to her as the Material Girl, because she doesn't regard herself as being materialistic.

The Hung Up singer is often called by the title of her hit 1985 single, but the singer has long wanted to drop the nickname as she doesn't like the inference that she is obsessed with wealth.

She tells tabloid rag The Daily Star:

"Everyone relates that title to me because of the song I did like 300 years ago. It's a title I got stuck with. When I first did the song it was meant in an ironic way, as I don't think of myself as a materialistic person. I hate that name but I do love clothes and fashion and I love beautiful things.

"As the years went by strangers would see me in the street and shout, 'Yo it's the Material Girl!' and I was like, 'Ahh, I'm not. I hate that name.'"

But Madonna has accepted she will struggle to shake off her famous title, and adds:

"I realised I needed to get a sense of humour and embrace it."

So if loving clothes, fashion and beautiful things (gadgets in my case)...then I guess that means I'm not materialistic. Right?

Ronson Fears Partying Turns Him Into Tabloid Fodder!

Mark Ronson has quit partying over fears his wild lifestyle was turning him into a tabloid mockery.

The Grammy Award-winning superproducer shot to fame working with singer Lily Allen and producing Amy Winehouse's global smash hit album Back to Black and he quickly became a regular in the gossip columns with his playboy lifestyle.

Speaking about his concerns, Ronson says:

"I look back at pictures of me from that time, I simply do not recognise myself. I'd go out for a beer after a gig and my photo would be everywhere the next day. I was associated with Amy and Lily Allen because I'd worked with both of them... It must have looked like I was living this vapid lifestyle and just getting wasted every night."

His notoriety in the press gathered pace when he began dating teen age supermodel Daisy Lowe, 13 years his junior, back in 2008, and the star admits he was eventually forced to re-evaluate his life and take a step out of the spotlight.

He adds:

"Daisy is really sweet, but I look back and realise I was turning into a cliche. At one point, it seemed normal to be in the papers every day. But that's not normal for me. I'm a DJ and producer, I'm supposed to be one of the indoor kids...

"I've scaled back on the smoking and drinking. It's fun to have a beer but drinking Jack Daniel's before going on stage is a recipe for disaster.. I don't miss the partying - I'm getting too much energy from the music I'm making."

This is an all too familiar trend, where stars have the best intentions to just go out and enjoy themselves, but problem is they forget the photographers who lie in wait for them to slip up. And why shouldn't they just let their hair down and enjoy themselves? Unfortunately society will never let them have a day off, and without publicity (good or bad) they wouldn't have a day job!

Continuing from what Mark says, I agree, you don't need to get trashed to have a great time. For me, it's definitely the music on the dancefloor that keeps me going!

WARNER BROS. Takes Legal Action Over 'Harry Potter' Condoms!

Movie execs at Warner Bros. are foaming at the mouth (and not in a good way) because a Swiss condom brand has loosely named their products after Harry Potter.

Studio bosses are said to have filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the company making Harry Poppers, which feature an illustration of a condom wearing round glasses and waving a magic wand on the packet (pictured above).

The legal action, reported by Swiss newspaper Bote, is said to come in a bid to banish the brand from stores ahead of the release of the next installment of the movie franchise, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I', this November.

A lawyer for Warner Bros. tells Bote:

"The image of my client is in danger."

Worthington Sinks Teeth Into 'Dracula' Role?

Earlier this year, Latino Review reported that Sam Worthington was the favourite to star in director Alex Proyas' Vlad the Impaler biopic, titled 'Dracula : Year Zero'.

Moviehole reports that at the Australian International Movie Convention on the Gold Coast yesterday, Mike Baard (director of Universal Pictures) announced that they're spearheading the project and that it will be lensed in Australia, with local actors and crew. It's believed Worthington is indeed one of those local actors onboard the film, although there's been no confirmation from the studio as yet.

Proyas confirmed to Moviehole recently that Year Zero will be “a medieval epic” rather than your average gory horror movie.

He adds:

“It’s actually a composite of [the Vlad the Impaler story], of the origins of the legend, and the Bram Stoker book. You could see it as a prequel to Bram Stoker’s novel, in some ways. All the cool bits out of Francis Coppola’s “Dracula”. You can see it that way as well.”

The project has been pencilled to start in early 2011.

Clapton Collaborates With Ex On New Solo Album.

Guitarist Eric Clapton is set to release his first solo album in five years - with a little help from ex-girlfriend Sheryl Crow.

The Wonderful Tonight singer hasn't worked on a solo project since 2005's Back Home, and will release his 19th disc, Clapton, next month. The album features guest appearances from his ex-lover Crow (who he dated in 1996) among others.

In a statement, Clapton says:

"It's an eclectic collection of songs that weren't really on the map - and I like it so much because if it's a surprise to the fans, that's only because it's a surprise to me, as well."

His last project, 2006's The Road to Escondido, was a collaboration with singer/songwriter JJ Cale.

Sherlock Chic On The British Fashion Market?

A 'Sherlock' influence seems to be having an effect on the British fashion market, with young men trying to imitate Benedict Cumberbatch's look.

Bespoke Savile Row tailor James Sleater admits he has been inundated with requests for copies of the actor's wardrobe items.

Sleater, the co-founder of Cad and the Dandy, tells WENN fashionable Brits are desperate to get their hands on calf-length, tailored coats - just like the ones Cumberbatch wears as Holmes on the hit modern sleuth series.

The hit show has just transferred to America and Sleater expects the programme to spark trends there too:

"It doesn't take uncanny powers of deduction to work out that Sherlock Chic is sweeping the bespoke market.

"The sartorial sleekness of Benedict Cumberbatch's portrayal of Holmes in the BBC series has caught the imagination.

"Cad and the Dandy are the new kids on the block in bespoke tailoring and the fashion conscious have identified us with this off-beat but extremely well-tailored look - very long coats and even capes are going to be fashionable this winter and when worn with professionally tailored white shirts, as they are by Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock, they look stunning."

Give me a dark calf-length coat any day!

No BOWIE Link To Gaga's New Album!

It may sounds like a match made in heaven, and rumours have been spreading all over the internet that David Bowie and Lady Gaga are set to record a duet together. However the 'Labyrinth' star has denied the collaboration.

The rocker states the rumours linking him to the pop star's new album are "untrue and a hoax". Reports suggested the pair were working on a new song, called Vinyl, which Bowie wrote for the Paparazzi hitmaker, but Bowie insists he has got nothing to do with Gaga's new material.

In a statement posted on his website, he writes:

"When this tall story first surfaced a few days ago it was denied as a hoax in an update to the same article, and we thought that would be the end of it. I guess some folk see what they want to see though."

You stick by your guns, David!

Adam Levine To Launch New Fashion Line!

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine will join the likes of Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, 50 Cent and Pharrell Williams by launching his own fashion line for both men and women.

The star will reveal his 222 line later this week in Las Vegas, and the collection will include jeans, t-shirts and leathers for men - as well as dresses and wraps for his female fashionistas.

Speaking to WWD, Levine says:

"I'm passionate about fashion. I think it says something a bout yourself and, whether you care about clothes or not, what you wear reflects some kind of attitude towards style."

Would you wear an Adam Levine? I think I would!

Clooney And Jolie Deny 'Monroe' Movie Involvement!

Angelina Jolie and George Clooney have denied reports which suggests they're starring in a Marilyn Monroe biopic, with Jolie as Monroe and Clooney as Frank Sinatra.

The pair were rumoured to be starring in a movie adaption of Andrew O'Hagan's novel The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe - a tale of their friendship, as seen through the eyes of her dog, Maf.

But Jolie is adamant she's not a part of the project - and hadn't even heard the rumours before she arrived in the U.K. last night for the premiere of her latest movie, 'SALT'.

She says:

"I've just heard that for the first time. No (it's not true)... if I only just heard it!"

And Clooney's rep tells GossipCop.com the reports are "totally fabricated".

Beckinsale To Return In 'Underworld 4'!

The release date for 'Underworld 4' has been pushed back from 23rd September 2011 to 20th January 2012 - according to the Comingsoon.net website. Kate Beckinsale is also expected to return to Selene's skin-tight suit, in the 3-D sequel!

Screenwriter John Hlavin had previously described the movie as:

"It will satisfy old fans and excite new audiences, meaning that we don't want to redo the first three movies, so steps are being taken to honor what fans have loved but at the same time introduce fresh elements."

I'm sooo happy that Kate will be coming back!

UPDATE (24th September 2010):

Kate Beckinsale has signed on the dotted line, making her return official! Production is set to start in Vancouver in March next year!

Emma Thompson To Write New 'Peter Rabbit' Stories!

'Nanny McPhee' actress Emma Thompson will commemorate the 110th anniversary of Beatrix Potter's classic PETER RABBIT tale by penning a new book for the children's literary series.

The Oscar-winning British actress has been approached by Potter publishers to help reintroduce the stories to a new generation of kids to coincide with its landmark anniversary in 2011.

In an interview with late night U.S. TV host Craig Ferguson, she says:

"I had a lovely little job offer. You know, Peter Rabbit, Beatrix Potter, he is 110 next year and they asked me to write a new story about Peter Rabbit, so I'm going to take him to Scotland."

Author Potter first introduced the popular furry animal character to readers in 1902 with The Tale of Peter Rabbit. He subsequently appeared in five more installments between 1904 and 1912.

Rose Byne In 'X-MEN' Talks?

Filming on the 'X-Men: First Class' is set to start at the end of this month, and Matthew Vaughn is still casting for a key role - Charles Xavier's love interest Dr. Moira MacTaggert. But never fear, because it looks like 'Damages' actress Rose Byrne is in talks for the part - according to The Hollywood Reporter.

MacTaggert is a scientist who specialises in genetic mutation, and she turned as Professor X's housekeeper. However it wasn't long before her true significance to Professor X, the X-Men and mutantkind would be revealed. A year after the character was introduced, it was apparent in flashbacks that MacTaggert was actually Professor Xavier's ex-girlfriend, and apparently this is the story that Byrne will be tackling in Vaughn's prequel.

So, that means the cast (so far) looks like this:

James McAvoy - Charles Xavier a.k.a Professor X
Rose Byrne - Dr. Moira MacTaggert
Mike Fassbender - Erik Lehnsherr a.k.a Magneto
Nicholas Hoult - Hank McCoy a.k.a. Beast
Jennifer Lawrence - Mystique

'Strictly Come Dancing' Launch Show To Unveil Celeb Contenders!

STRICTLY COME DANCING returns to our screens this autumn, and will kick off with a brand new one-hour studio launch show which will unveil the latest line of celebrities taking part in this year's competition, and the professional dancing partners they will be paired with.

Filming of the show will commence with a red carpet event at BBC’s Television Centre as celebrities, judges and pro dancers arrive before commencing the live show.

For the first time ever, viewers will get to see the celebrities being paired with their dance partner on the Strictly set in front of an audience. Previously these ‘first meets’ were pre-recorded, often in a training room or work place. This year the identity of partners will be kept secret until they meet on the Strictly floor, giving audiences the chance to see each and every reaction.

As well as unveiling the new celebrities taking part, the launch show will also be a showcase of what is to come in this series, including larger, more spectacular group routines and a revamped set.

The pro dancers and celebs will also perform a group dance, which means viewers will have a chance to pick out their favourites, as well as the runners and riders and who needs a few more hours in the training room!

Mark Linsey, Controller of Entertainment Commissioning, spoke about the exciting changes to the format:

“In a series that features more excitement and glamour than ever before – a red carpet event is the ideal way to launch this years Strictly. This, along with a fantastic line-up of celebrities, even more professional dancers and a revamped set, will see this series getting off to a great launch”

The launch show will be filmed on the 8th September 2010, and will be shown on Saturday 11th September 2010. After the show, celebrities and their dance partners will go into training to prepare for the first live show three weeks later. Make a note in your diaries for the launch show, and the brand new series!

Kensit: "I Won't Be Getting Married Again!"

Brit actress Patsy Kensit has ruled out ever marrying again, following her split from her fourth husband (pictured with Kensit above).

The 'Lethal Weapon 2' star plunged into a deep depression after separating from DJ Jeremy Healy in April this year, admitting she felt "foolish and ashamed" of the break-up. And after four failed marriages, Kensit has sworn against ever settling down again.

Speaking to She magazine, she says:

"This year has been truly, truly awful. I lost my confidence and ballooned from eight stone to 11. But I'm looking forward now, with one million percent conviction, that I definitely won't be getting married again.

"I also felt I'd put myself first before my kids and I didn't want that.. It's embarrassing, humiliating, all those terrible emotions that make you want to run away and hide. I can't tell you how foolish and ashamed I feel."

Kensit's previous husbands include Big Audio Dynamite frontman Dan Donovan, Simple Minds singer Jim Kerr and Oasis star Liam Gallagher.

Don't give up hope, Patsy! It happens to the best of us.

Fancy A Walk-On Part In 'MAD MEN'?

Execs behind U.S TV hit 'Mad Men' are auctioning off a walk-on part on their Golden Globe award-winning drama, in aid of a cancer charity

The show, about life in the advertising world in 1960s New York, regularly features its leading actors, including Jon Hamm and John Slattery, puffing away on cigarettes and auction organisers are putting a twist on this aspect of the programme - by donating a portion of the profits to the Lung Cancer Program at California's City of Hope.

Sandra Stern, chief operating officer at the Lionsgate production firm, says:

"The smoking depicted in Mad Men was ubiquitous in the '60s world of Madison Avenue advertising and is a vivid reminder of how far we've progressed in our attitudes toward smoking since then."

Wardrobe pieces worn by Christina Hendricks and January Jones' characters are also being sold off in the 10-day auction on website eBay.com, as well as '60s-style furniture and other props from the hit show, Reuters reports.

The sale ends on 22 August 2010, so makre sure you grab a bargain quick!

Murphy Confirms 'GLEE' Broadway Musical Project!

Ryan Murphy, the man behind 'Glee', has confirmed plans to turn the U.S hit show into a Broadway musical...and auditions are being held at the moment.

Bosses at Music Theatre Intl. announced in March this year that they were in "negotiations" to turn the popular singing and dancing programme into a New York stage production. But 20th Century Fox rep Chris Alexander moved quickly to slam the claims, insisting he was "mystified" about the rumoured talks.

Now Murphy has decided to end the speculation by announcing a stage show is in the pipeline, and tells the New York Daily News that the musical is "definitely" happening!

He adds:

"I'm auditioning people now."

Cowell Not Into Online Hacking!

A spokesperson for Simon Cowell has denied reports that the music mogul has hired computer hackers to hide negative stories about him on net.

The former American Idol judge was said to have recruited experts to promote stories painting him in a good light to the top of search engine result lists, and was also rumoured to have asked them to monitor the web for any scathing reviews or comments and to hide them.

But Cowell's faithful representative Ann-Marie Thomson has laughed off the speculation, insisting she's "humoured by the ridiculous story" and branding it "complete and utter rubbish".

It's an interesting rumour, since all we tend to hear about Cowell is his near squeeky-clean image. I've always believed that if something seems too good to be true, most of the time it normally turns out that way!

No More Botox For Teri Hatcher?

It's not everyday that an A-lister would go to great lengths to prove that they no longer inject their face muscles with poison (a.k.a. BOTOX), and that is exactly what Teri Hatcher has done!

The 'Desperate Housewives' actress has posted 9 candid photos of her wrinkled face on her Facebook page - without any make-up in an album entitled, Oy with the Botox!. Wrapped in a towel and with her hair still wet, the 45 year old is pictured contorting her face and showing off different expressions to proves her decision to grow old gracefully.

And while she admits to using facial-freezing injections in the past, Hatcher insists she no longer has work done to her face.

Commenting on one of the pictures she writes:

"Thought about all those damn critics of my face. Love it or hate it, my face that is, no surgery, no implants, no matter what 'they' say. Decided I'd shoot myself to reveal some truths about 'beauty' and hope it makes you all easier on yourself.

"Did I ever toy with fillers or Botox over the years? Yes. (But) tell me does this look Botoxed to you? Yes I am alone in my bathroom naked in a towel on behalf of women everywhere trying to make a point. Women YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL."

So what do you think of her au naturel look?
